The North West Police Benevolent Fund own four holiday lodges at Llanteglos Hamlet in Pembrokeshire.
Two of the Lodges are retained at all times for convalescent purposes for the use of subscribing members of the fund and their immediate family. Police Pensioners, Widows and Dependants. Convalescent facility at the site is free.
PLEASE NOTE - FOR CONVALESENCE PURPOSES YOU CAN ONLY BOOK LODGES 4 WEEKS IN ADVANCE WHEN SUPPORTED BY MEDICAL ADVICE.
The site is open from March to October each year. (No single sex groups under 25 years of age are permitted). There are no medical facilities on site. Bookings are via the Secretary of the fund and are subject to medical certification.
Bookings are only taken for the current year and open on the Monday 24th January 2011 (site open from mid March to end of October)
In the interests of fairness to all the same officers will not be allowed to book the same weeks (during school holiday time) year after year.
Above the lounge there is an unusual gallery bedroom with a double bed and cot, whilst downstairs, one bedroom is equipped with bunk beds and the other bedroom/lounge has a sofa bed.
The kitchen is equipped with electric cooker, microwave, fridge, kettle, iron & board, vacuum cleaner, crockery, tools and utensils. The bathroom is on the ground floor, making these lodges suitable for some disabled people. A colour TV is provided. Heating is by electricity and hot water is supplied by emersion heater.
The two remaining lodges are available for holiday lettings between March and October. This year Low Season costs £250 and High Season £300 per week (inclusive).
One of our lodges
There are 24 Orchard Lodges, built in groups of 4 and the benevolent fund owns one of these groups. Each comprises a lounge/dining kitchen, bathroom and sleeping accommodation for five.
Beds are provided with duvets, pillows and bed linen but please bring you own towels and tea towels. Bar snacks and refreshments are available at the Wanderer's rest Inn which is on site
